SUMPCRACKER 0 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Share Posted June 8, 2009 Hello all, I own a few cars but the one i drive most is a BMW E30 325I.The problem is that almost every time i go out i get savaged by an annoyingly rapid silver golf VR6.To add insult the driver is a very tidy looking GIRL.Now ive had fights with many VRs and the old E30 can usually see them off or at least keep up.When i mentioned this to a VR6 loving mate, he told me there is a difference between the early and late cars, being that the late ones put out a tad more power and seem to take off quicker.After getting batterd by wondergirl for some months ive decided to buy one.Ive had many golf mk2s but not mk3s so i just wanted to double check if im looking for the right car.The color coded cars on P and R reg? and ill want a 2 door.Ive seen a few with recaro cloth fitted, is this a rare thing?Im aware the OBD2 cars have the large TB,and a coil pack, but it seems some cars have a coil pack with OBD1 and a small TB? Dave_ciw 507 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Share Posted June 8, 2009 i had a K reg motor coil pack before and it seemed quicker than the P reg I have now the new one has added features like heated leather climate control air con I think this extra weight has had a seriouse effect. Or maybe its cos the last one had 210k on it she was a bit looser lol good luck hunting anyways fella Link to post Share on other sites
