ChudsMeister 0
I've sprung a leak at my thermost housing, think it could just be one of the seals but was thinking if I'm having to drain the system then I would be best just to replace the lot as it doesnt seem too dear for the parts.I have seen a kit on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190301300398 can anyone tell me if they have fitted this kit and what the quality of this B and B components is like? Also would this come with all the seals required to do the job?Replies much appreciatedRich
legvw 0
Looks like a full kit, i'd seal the joints with some sort of sealant too, aswel as the o-rings they give you in the kit. Double safe then!
Ben Seabrook 4
I bought the same kit thinking I had the same problem but when I removed the thermostat housing I realised that it was just a case of replacing a couple of o rings and putting the housing back on correctly - it needs to be aligned correctly and equally otherwise it will leak
