xgordyx 0 Posted March 21, 2009 Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 Hi folks, i was wondering if it is possible to swap ecus (obd2) over from different cars and have vw reprogram them to suit the car with regaurds to the imobiliser. What my problem is i'm just about to fit a supercharger and wanted to fit the whole ecu that came with the kit rather than just swapping the chips as it would need soldering and i'm not sure who would do this in my area.ThanksGordy Link to post Share on other sites

I went down the independent TV repair shop route as they have stacks of experience dealing with circuit boards. They de - solded the standard chip and replaced it with a cradle so I can plug and play with whatever chip I want; cost me £25. Link to post Share on other sites
