jamieherd 0 Posted February 20, 2009 Report Share Posted February 20, 2009 I get this fault code pop up every now and again. The code sometimes doesnt appear for weeks then all of a sudden its there. I've tried cleaning the MAF and the connections with electrical contact cleaner but the fault code always seems to reappear. Surely if the MAF was broken this code would be constant??Has anyone else come across this problem?Cheers Link to post Share on other sites

james4287 1 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Share Posted September 3, 2009 i have the same problem, wheres the dry joints? how does the conector come apart?i have a new maf so don't think it's that/ but the fault is so intermittant and random it's hard to track down. Matt W 4 Posted September 17, 2009 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 If i remember i had a similar problem not long after i purchased my VR. I cleaned the MAF (after taking it out) and cleaned the throttle body. My car is OBD2 so i had to realign the TB with VAG-COM. For me it cured the fault and it stayed away.
