russj249 2
I've been looking at a few dyno printouts on here lately, and one thing I notice is that all the curves for power and torque start low and work high, like they should. Now on my dyno graph which was done last year, the torque curve is more of a flat line! Is reads..RPM Ft Lbs1500 1482000 1482500 1473000 1513500 1524000 1554500 1665000 1695500 1556000 1526500 1486750 147Now, If you can picture these on a graph, maybe a printout you have, it's a pretty flat line all the way from 1500rpm to limiter. Is this normal?? And why is it so flat not gradual like others?
thegoth 5
those numbers match my last run very well, with 90% max torque being available between 2.2k and 6k. Before DLea rebuilt her 90% torque kicked in at 3.2khow many miles on the engine at the time? any work done?I would note that, that torque all the way to red line is peculiar. What is the power graph like?
jims13 6
a flat torque line is good.. generally it tallys with a nice power delivery.. peak power on yours is at 5000 rpms taling off at 6750 (redline)
russj249 2
The car only had a Scorpion exhaust from the cat back so not much at all at getting on for 100k miles! The power curve is pretty much a smooth slope. from 55bhp at 1500rpm to 190 at 6250rpm before dropping back down to 175 at 6750rpm.However, at 6k, the power and torque jump up before dropping back down after 6250(at max)
