S.i.m.o.n 0
Right after my recent fuel pump problem i now have another. My 93 VR6 runs fine most of the time until you get at a constant speed the car loses all power and wont accelerate and some times dies completly. when its happened i have let the revs drop to tick over left for about 10 seconds and then its fine again for a few miles, then it does it again and if it cuts out it takes about 5 mins to re start. We are really stuck on what this could be and need some help urgent. Thanks Simon
ip 0
How did you solve your fueling problem. Is this potentially another symptom of the same issue?ip
S.i.m.o.n 0
It is possible yes, We changed the fuel pump and all was fine until a day later. we really cant pin point the problem as when the car just sits there running nothing goes wrong. Just really need some advice as to what could be causing this Simon
ip 0
I reckon you want to measure the fuel pressure. It certainly sounds like fuel starvation. If you weren't so far away, I'd offer to do it for you. When you changed the fuel pump did you notice and crap floating in the tank? Is it possible the pump is being blocked? Have you checked the fuel filter itself?ip
S.i.m.o.n 0
When we had the pump out to change we checked the tank for crap but it was all nice and clean no crap at all. we are changing the fuel filter tomoz. Could it be something to do with the crank senser?
S.i.m.o.n 0
This fault turned out to be the fuel in the tank, Changed the tank and pump and it has been fine since, Thanks for the help IP
