VR6 highiine drivers window problem

Hi all, just bought my new vr 6 mulberry highline 3dr. Thing is the driver door window doesn't operate, the passenger one works fine, but the drivers one don't work at all, no clicks nothing. Also noticed the red courtesy light on the drivers door doesn't work either.

Anybody know where to look into the problem?

If there No noise from the motor turning then first thing you check if the fuels, Guessing its not blown because your drivers side works but check anyway

Next get your door card off and with a multimeter Check you have power at your motor when you press the switch. If you have then you have a fault motor. If you have no power at the motor then check for power at the switch. check both sides of the switch for live, If you got live in but no live out (when you press it) Then you need a new switch,

Still no live to the switch you gotta look for a brake in a wire in the loom somewhere

took the drivers door card off there was a small white plastic clip that was sitting in the bottom of the door it'd obviouslly come off something and was sitting there. I checked it carefully and it doesn't look like it snapped or anything, just come off.

checked if it was the switch, by putting power direct to the plug, and window worked fine. Took the boot covering the wires in the door shut off an found the power cable had different little cracks an breaks in the sheathing covering the wire, taped it all so its covered.

it started working and the driver door courtesy light started working aswell.

bit of a flukey repair, lol

then passenger door window stopped working, checked it again, then removed the passenger door jam wiring boot, the main yellow wire was broken and had snapped, soldered in a new piece of wire, shrunk wrap it and it started working.

So now both windows are woring perfectly.

Only thin that concerns me is the drivers door window when going up creaks an makes this noise as it slides up, Makes me feel something is gonna brake by the sound it makes as it goes up.

Unless it has something to do with the 1 little white plastic clip i found sitting in the bottom of the door.

any ideas?

the little white clip sounds like somthing off the door lock puch rod to stop it ratteling around

Try cleaning and lubing up the runners that the glass slides in with silicon to put it under less strane but it sounds like your mecs on its way out
