Vibrating Problems

Hi.

I have a unknown SS exhaust on my 97 Golf VR6, Its been on there since the car was about a year old, Recently it started to sound different, Not the same tone as it was imo and with what can only be described as a vibrating noise that is only really apparant at higher speeds, Then last night on the way home it was horrendous, especially at between 70-80 mph, the whole car was vibrating.

Does this sound like the exhaust or could it be a wheel bearing?/
