contorted fungus 0 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Share Posted July 6, 2008 hello everyone got a prob with my obd2 aaa vr. started to run really rough after cleaning under the bonnet. wont idle properly smokes badly but black not blue, does about 5 mpg. had it tested on a diagnostic machine and it threw up faulty earths on air mass meter, lambda sensor, idle stabilisation valve and summit else i cant remember. does anyone know which earths to clean and where they are situated as its doing my head in have already cleaned up the ones on the neg terminal and the six that run underneath the battery tray but now am at a loss as to where to go next Link to post Share on other sites
xyber 1 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Share Posted July 6, 2008 get ready with the WD40, sounds like the connector on the MAF may have got wet, the lamba connection ontop of the drivers side engine mount, maybe the coilpack etc and check the neg connection to the bodywhat you need is a hot day and the bonnet open all daythink my first stop would be the MAF, dry it clear the codes and check again Link to post Share on other sites
contorted fungus 0 Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 6, 2008 have checked for water in maf and lambda they were both clean and dry but put back together with a bit of ptroleum jelly on the seals to stop anything getting in. where is the connection to the body Link to post Share on other sites
