as soon as the drizzle outside stops i shall be attempting the replacement of my radiator and expan sion tank, the mechanics of the job look pretty simple as far as i can see but there are a couple of things i need help with:

a) what is the coolant capacity for the vr6 engine?

B) will the system need to be bled and is there a particular way i should do this?

also any other advice which anyone feels i may find useful would be welcomed

thanx

Can't quite remember the figures but if you pick up two bottles of G12 coolant and mix as usual, that should give you enough to fill the system up full. Easiest way i found to remove the coolant is just remove the bottom radiator hose. I did flush it with loads more water to remove all the coolant but its up to you if you wanna go that far......

yeah getting the coolant out was fine.

thats a good idea tho i will flush it with clean water b4 refilling with coolant.

what about bleeding the system? or is it just a case of fill her up then run engine and top up till it stays at the same level in the expansion tank?
