Can someone tell me how to change my door? please

Hi,

I am sourcing a new driver door due it being dented.

How does it remove, is it just the torx bolts? if so which ones are removed, the ones on the body, or the ones going into the door.? looks pretty tight which ever way?

Any help much appreciated. Searched here, clubgti and Vortex but no joy.

I had to remove the front wing on mine when i wanted to adjust the drivers door.

Pretty sure you can't get at the hinge bolts.

Removing the wing is easy though, just be careful you don't damage it ;-)

I thought as much, where are the wing bolts apart from under bonnet?

One at the bottem of the wing on the left hand side as you look at it and i think theres 2 under the bumper... Can't remember for sure tho

If your are lucky you might get away with not having to adjust the hinges. In which case it's simply a matter of undoing a small grub screw on each hinge. They might have covers on. And then pulling the door up once you've disconnected the door stop strap.

As in leaving the wing on, and just removing this bolt (upper and lower)?

just to the left, on the hinge itself there should be a hex grub screw. Just where the start of the top arrow stroke is, if that makes sense. In the middle of all the white stuff, waxyol I presume. And similar for the lower hinge.
