car starts ok but sounds like its missing mis-firing running lumpy on 5 not 6 ?????

so what to do next i know most will say just get it on VAG Com !

1 check MAF give it a clean with carb cleaner

2 plugs and leads

3 coilpack (check for sparks)

4 crank sensor

5 lambrada sensor (this is just for emissions or cat)

how long should spark plugs last?

plugs should last at least the service length but have been known to get the odd faulty one. for what it costs, if there overdue a change just aswell replace them!

MAF wouldnt cause a mis fire as such just poor running and up and down on the idle and no guts on acceleration!

i think your pretty much on the ball with your sparking system once you get so far back as the coil being ok then maybe start looking at injector or head gasket.

i dont mean replacing the objects obviously but just checking them. also same as MAF sens. the lambda shouldnt cause a mis fire. i may be wrong but havent come across these sensors just affecting one cyl.

so plugs the platanuim ones r the same as normal NGK plugs

but last a lot longer where is the best place and price to buy ?

euro or vw or gsm ????
