Dragon VR6 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Hi all i've just brought a dragon green VR6 on a 97 plate and i've developed a funny little whine from the rev counter area, if i rev the car and let it iddle ite only when it comes back down to idle that it gives out a little whine that sounds like ( idunno if anyone remembers) one of those dinosaurs that you squeeze and they let out a sigh, any help yould be much appreciated as i have no idea, at first i thought it was the rev counter but its slowly gettin lowder and i can hear it from the engine bay now but its right up at the scuttle panel Link to post Share on other sites

xyber 1 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Think I know the noise you mean. as you look down on your engine, top left corner come off the rocker cover, theres a pipe that runs to the plastic inlet pipe with a valve on it controlled by vacuum, it could be that, its just the engine breather giving out a little puff of vapour and the valve may be grubby Link to post Share on other sites
