Front discs, pads and flexi hoses need replacing...which ones should I get

Hi

I've got a 96 Golf Highline and it came back from its service today with some advice notes. They include

Front Discs and Pads

Flexi hoses cracking

Cat Bung

Middle Section of Exhaust needs replacing

rear caliper balance kit needed

Can you help me with how much of this is easy to do / source parts or recommend upgrades over standard?

theres a full stainless in the for sale section - id have a troll for some brake bits too
