RIL1974 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 The rear wheels are rubbing when there are two people sitting in the rear., I have had new shocks all round and the rear bushes have been done, all parks VW and i have the standard alloys on. Its a 1997 Golf VR6 with 84k on the clock. The car is standard. I rechon i need new rear springs. Any advice out there? Link to post Share on other sites

xyber 1 Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 They should be on there, they are big rubbery things that fit over the strut inside the springsNormally if you were to fit new struts all the bushes, bearings and mounts would be replaced and for the price of them the bumpstops aswell as they are only about £3 each, but some less reputable garages wont bother with alot of this to make more profitIf you were to replace them its a complete strip down of the suspension and rebuildAlso are the shocks definatly for the VR6?
