amazak 3
Hello All,Drove the car this morning and if was fine, drove it home today and still good. However about 3 hrs ago I drove it down to the shops and it does not feel right. It felt like a miss. When I put my foot down the car hesistates to go and kinda pulls back. The plugs have been replaced two weeks ago. Oh and yesterday I removed the carbon canister not sure if that has anything to do with it but reading other posts about the canister here obviously not? When I open the bonnet I can hear a click sound then the engine drops in revs...it happens every few seconds ....any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this one?? Tried pushing the HT leads in but no difference.
Roan 0
There is obviously some arcing going on I would say. Check your coilpack in the dark and look for any sparks around it and between it and the block. You can repair it if it's cracked with some epoxy resin (search on here) or buy a new one (come up on ebay all the time).
crish72 0
Defo some arking going on, try it in the dark and you should be able to see the arking and then identify where it's coming from.More likely to be a HT lead i reckon...if it is then replace them or bodge it with insulation tape...Chris
