Guest j4yvw
hi there(newbie) wonder if you can help.I have a 1997 golf vr6 with a fault code 00533.The car has become an alchoholic.I seem to get 100 miles to half a tank doing 75 -80 mph.I thought it was the airflow sensor as when i fitted an induction kit i accidently crushed the wiring.doh!Any one come across this fault code before.I have a list of things to check but they all seem to point at air leaks.Any help will be appreciated.thanks. xyber 1
pointing toward throttle body i think, but worth checking maf wires and all pipes and cabling etc, you might have just knocked something off when fitting your ind kit
craggsy 91
I have just got the same fault code on mine......MAF is clean but I noticed that the wires going into the plug that connects to MAF are fragile......I want a new plug to rewire it as they have gone next to the plug
