tubby 0
"Got a bit of a strange one here" When i left work yesterday and started the car it seemed fine, but when i got to the end of the road to leave work i gave it a good old rev and then it stalled due to the revs dropping quicker than a stone in a lake. This had never happened before but worse than this it took me ages at the junction to get her going again and when i did i was really pissed so i gave it some 1st into 2nd and there seemed to be no power in second gear, when i got into 3rd it still seemed to be a little sluggish but as car got warmer the problem went away.So without vag-com does anybody have a clue wha it might be.CheersVirgin
matth76 1
Sounds odd mate. Although I would always keep the revs below 3000-3500 revs until the car is fully warmed up for about 10-15mins (to normal oil temp ~90deg). Def aint good for the engine revving from cold.Problem could be leads or spark plugs if the problem goes away when the car's warmed up. I'd check this mate first. Failing that could be the coil pack.
