goldy1234 0
I got Golf 3 vr6 - made in end of 1994. Some day I was looking the engine and find out that something is missing? but when I unplug this connector, it has no connection pins. Do I need that part (sensor) or not? what it's his function?I'm from slovenia, sorry for my bad english!
thegoth 5
It's not a sensor. It's a heater. But I've never understood why you need to heat air that has come from the engine. My only thought is that it helps any oil that got through the oil trap ( the large disc shaped part ) not to foul up the throttle body.I run without the trap or the heater!TGP.s. your english is better then a lot of ours! goldy1234 0
then this is not very important part, as I can see on the other pictures of VR6 engine that someone doesn't have that part- heater. ok nice and another thing...that oil trap is looked to be worn out, should I replace it with new one? Because around it' pretty oily as you can see on picture 2.
