Clutch Pedal Follow On

I have got a new pedal etc but now i am struggling to get the old one off, i cannot get the slave cylinder ram to go back so i can get pedal off it and slide off the bar.

I have tried leaving the fluid tank open, taken some fluid out, bledd it am i missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
