jeggy 0
My Mk3 VR6 is haivng a few running problems and i wondered if anyone had any suggestions. i recently put a VR6 engine into my mk3 GOlf GTI 8v everything went in easy andn was straight forward. now that the car is running when it starts it idles at 2000 revs. and after a few mins or a couple of revs it drops to bellow 1000. also when driving the car on a private road of course. at 120mph the car seems like it is at its maximum speed.the car doesnt limit at 7000 revs like it should and would climb past it if you let it. any suggestions. the engine is an OBD2 engine from a 1996 model engine has done 75000 miles. all your help would be appreciated
adam_christie 0
Hmm, do you know what your fuel consumption is like yet? It really could be a number of things. Your MAF Might be knackered? What's the acceleration like? You getting 0-60 Mph in 7.9 secs like the manual says? (Lol, yeah I know thats a load of twaddle but anyway!)
