jeru 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Report Share Posted October 14, 2006 hi all, wonder if anyone can help me, i got a service the othe day on my vr6 which was running on pre service. When i got it back when accelerating in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear the car was chugging along like it was going to cut out..but didnt. My mechanic told me all he did was change the sparks..cleaned the spark leads, wahsed the k&n air filers changed the oil etc. He never touched anything on the engine. He therefore went for a process of elimination, he put my old spark back in but the car is still chugging in the gears mentions above, and when i floor it in second to pick up speed i hear like a little knocking and a blow coming from the air filter, he reckons too much air is coming into the car and that it is running weak, so i'm gonna buy some new leads and pray to god this solves the problem, has anyone got any advice or had this problem with there golf?..mine is a vr6 highline 1997 R plate...thanks Link to post Share on other sites
