new member with mk2 vr6 wiring queries

hi all,

I'm putting an obd1 2.8 vr6 from a mk3. i'm using the 4 stud set up. my query is that the owner of the mk3 vr6 had an imobiliser fitted, that had a wire from the engine harness cut and joined to the imobiliser. the wire is red and yellow, if anyone knows where it goes to it would be a great help.

there should be the stub of that wire on one of the plugs at the back of the fuseboard with a second wire from the immobiliser soldered to it just solder em back together!

yeah, but the immobiliser was in the mk3. so where do i solder the red/yellow wire to in my mk2?

if you look at the wiring coming into the cabin from the engine bay there should be the same colour code wire there this is the one your looking to solder to the remains of the one at the back of the fuse board...
