xyber 1
Audi specialist bloke told me today that the fuel pressure reg out of an audi (poss s4 or rs4) will fit straight into a vr6, so no need to shell out over £100 for an FSE coz theyre about £30 to him. Has anyone else done this yet and is it any good? Looks OE under the bonnet too so insurance company will never know!! Ill speak to him tomorrow and get a part number of him
mk3anni 0
Kinda true. The early Vr's have a 4 bar reg. as do the 1.8t golfs/boras/audi's etc. I have one on my car, came as pat of the charger kit.As for the S4 or RS4 i dont know what bar regs they have but as your fuel pump wont dleiver more than 4 bar anyway the reg off a 1.8t would be ample. antera309 3
An FSE is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, rather than a fixed 4-bar one (3-bar on OBD2 modesls) as fitted to the VR6 as standard. I don't know what type of FPR the Audi S4 runs.
