kniterider 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 as above, for a 93 obd1 golf vr6, took a few attempts to start, got me to work ok, took about 8 attempts to start at work but it did in the end, then as i unlocked my gate to park the car i turned it off, it started then as i was reversing in it spluttered/misfired then died, and wont start at all...... getting cheesed off with these elctrical gremlins!!can any one let me know aht numbers the relays are?? then i can check then 1st as i cant hear the fuel pump at all whilst im cranking it over which makes me think im not getting any juice??thanks Link to post Share on other sites

kniterider 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2006 cheers for that mate, had a look this morning, removed 167 and bridged it across, bingo pump ran and car would start have had a look at the relay and it looks like a new one theres no wear on the tips or anything, am gonna see if the coil its self switches the contact on side later when i hook it up to 12v dc, if it does then its ok, then i might have to look at what item (sensor/switch/ecu) gives the 12v supply to the relay when the fuel pump is required....but for now until i get either a new relay if this one is a duffer at least i can run it Link to post Share on other sites
