ian 182 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 Hi guys just wondering if you could help.My vr6 is not changing gear properly.When im driving and change its fine but a bit wallowy.Not precise,when the car is in gear i can move the stick about 2" either way.When i go into reverse i really have to pull it back out again.Any ideas????ian Link to post Share on other sites
matth76 1 Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 There will be some play with the gear stick, left or right, maybe about an inch play in 1st, 2nd gears but about 2 inches play to the right in 3rd 4th and 5th. However if you are having a lot more play it could simply be a bush that has come off or broken. Happened to mine when I had a quick shift fitted...very quick to fix. However if you are having trouble with reverse I'd get it looked at by Stealth or The Phirm. Link to post Share on other sites
