Couple bits turned up today, neuspeed air filter, jetex Decat and straight through centre section.

Is there any benefits from doing this conversion I know it looks good and it replaces the prone to fail coil pack, and it must give a better spark, is there any thing else and how hard is it to install.

Thought I would start a little bit of a build thread for my vr. It's a 94 obd1 with 150k on the clock it's a little bit of a dog as previous owner didn't look after it very well, needs the floor welding, new sills, new wings, rear arches, new boot and a respray, I do have a lot of plans for it, thinking about a shaved bay and maybe a turbo conversion but that will be in the future. First things on my list of things to do is get welding done, sort exhaust out, a couple of new sensors and my fans not working. I have some adaptors 30mm for the front and 35mm for the back, I don't have the bolts for them tho. And I have 2x 20 wide ones complete with bolts.

I might be in a bit of luck my mate phoned me and said there's a unit going cheap if it's true I'll do the work myself and start doing custom exhausts and other fab work [emoji106]

I need someone to do the sills and the holes behind the bumper I could do it myself being a welder but I don't have the time or the place to do it.

Hi my names jay and I'm from Braintree in Essex, some of you might know my mrs vr6 already, Redvr6girl? So after driving hers instead of my mk4 I got the bug for the vr6 and bought one for myself. Looked good when I got it, handles well, pulls like a train etc BUT it needs a bit doing, new exhaust as the Decat has been welded to the centre section, my trolly jack went through the sill, the boot is held in place with a ratchet strap and there's some small holes here and there, I'm hoping it can be saved and not end up as a bake bean tin.
