Need some help guys my VRT broke down on me today. It all started when I came up to a roundabout earlier and the car cut out on me. I started it back up but when it started there was a big cloud of smoke and it started driving as if it had a really bad misfire. I managed to pull in to a bus stop on the dual carriageway I was on and switched the car off. I had a look in the bay and noticed the vacuum hose going to my fuel pressure regulator had split so I cut the section out and reconnected it. Went to start the car back up and it would not start. Tried for another 10 or so mins then ended up c

Thanks for the replies. I ended up ordering a set of h&r anti roll bars. Hopefully get them on in the next couple of weeks. I have been debating weather to change my coilovers for something better as well. Currently have AP on but I don't really like them. They seem to be too bouncy.

I'm looking to improve the handling on my car. I have already had it polybushed so I think the next step would be the anti roll bars. Is it worth replacing them for the Eibach or H&R etc?

I can get the garage next to my work place to check knock count. Will give that a go if the second bottle of injector cleaner doesn't do the trick.

It was the Forte stuff bealieboy. My mate had a bottle in his garage so he gave it to me.

There was a slot there already, it pushes in then a quarter of a turn locks it into place.

I've not got AFR fitted. A couple of days a go a mate told me to try some injector cleaner I've put some in and that has made a slight difference. It's not doing it as bad as it was so I'm going to try another bottle with my next tank of fuel and see what happens.

Yes mate I have a forge blow off valve recirculating after the maf. I'm not to sure wether it's doing its job or not though as I'm not sure if it's set up right and I don't know how I would test it.

Yea your right duhhh dunno what I was thinking, they do all have right angle connectors on one side. The usrallyteam package doesn't have the msd leads it comes with 8mm genesis leads. I wonder if the msd leads are 8 or 10mm any idea?

I was looking at the package on the usrallyteam site as there one comes with new leads with the right angle connectors for an extra $50 I was going to order it from them at the same time I order the throttle body spacer for my meth injector.

Cheers fishwick. To be honest I was only really wanting to go down the msd route for the looks. I'm getting annoyed with seeing the ugly vr6 coilpack every time I open the bonnet. In your opinion the msd weren't worse than the original vr6 one were they? Is the alternative you bought supposed to be better than the original vr6 one?

So when I plant my foot fully down on the accelerator pedal after changing gear the car momentarily jerks a few times and then starts moving again. I thought it may have been it not getting enough fuel as I was running the standard pump. But today I had a performance fuel pump fitted and it is still doing the same thing. I was going to try an injector cleaner tomorrow in case one of the injectors is blocked. Is there anything else I should have a look at? Thanks

Hi guys as the title really I am looking to purchase some MSD coil packs and a bracket to suit the VR. Can anyone advise on where I can buy them from? Ideally in the UK. Thanks

what do people use to seal the timing chain covers up on a vr6?

I had to change my dates as my cousins getting married on the 4th. So basically now I'm going to his wedding on the 4th finishing around 10pm in London then head back to luton and pickup my mate then catching the 1:23 am Eurotunnel train and driving through the night. So should hopefully be there in the evening on the 5th. PM me your number if you want and you can jump in with us for a drive around. Unless you've got mates going there already.

I have a set of Golf VR6 front Apec discs and pads. They have had very little use as I upgraded mine to 323mm discs a little while after fitting these Apecs. No ridge on discs.
