  1. Can I get some more opinions from people with milltek? Drone on motorway? Don't want anything too noisy. Also isn't there a resonates & non-resonated kit available, which did you go for?
  2. Just had my windscreen replaced to fix a leak I spent ages trying to find! Turns out the original VW screen was really badly bonded in (tiny strip of sealant down the sides).
  3. Sorted. Was starter motor, dodgy solenoid, I put it in gear and rocked it back and forth, free up solenoid n started fine, so replaced starter.
  4. Isn't it a steering column out jobby? I sort of dismissed it as surely this must still be working if i reliably get 12v at the trigger wire?
  5. Hi all, Got myself a Mk3 VR6 recently and a couple of time its not started. No struggling, low battery etc, just literally nothing, turn the key, no click, no starter. Re-try a couple of time and its has worked up until now. Got out of work yesterday and would not start, no noise, no action when turning the key. Got a mate to give me a push and it bump started ok, drove it home and started to diagnose.   6. I also have a similar noise, from similar area. Can't watch the Vid at the mo but will do later to compare. Mine is like a ticking/whining sound on start up usually, under load its stops and then on overrun it whines again. I'm going to try an oil change first, but at the same time want to take the sump off to check for a plastic tensioner chunks, got the gasket (weird metallic looking flat one, not cork or rubber with compression limiters?!?!) just gotta find a convenient time to do it!
