  1. I've recently had a cable jam on my drivers front window. I had it replaced at my local garage to the tune of £184. I had a whole new genuine vw regulator fitted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Looking good chris. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I like this yellow fog-lamp thing, what's that yellow film called? Yeah the clips on my tow eye blank are a bit rubbish and so was the fit until I bent the clips a bit. Took several goes till I was happy with how they looked and have not adjusted since. Hope you can get yours to fit properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry, I'm based in Braintree Essex. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well, I'm a firm believer in these super fuels and have been for years. Many people will tell you they have not noticed a difference in performance or economy and that may be true if you're driving a 1.2 Clio. There's a fifth gear snippet on YouTube which shows differences between different fuels with rolling road results on an city car, a warm hatch and a Subaru. I only use v power in my vr and my family car, I can get 390 miles using super and only 360 on ordinary unleaded with the family car. The extra expense actually returns a saving for me, makes my car more responsive to drive and helps
  6. Yep, milltek is the one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Same as that reaper, drive along at 59mph nicely, go to 60mph and all he'll lets loose! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The grinding being bottom pulley against body. Hope it's not that but worth checking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I thought cv joints clicked. With your engine movement, sounded like an engine mount to me? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Milltek is quite dear, approx £400 off the top of my head, magnex £350 ish? I bought mine used off eBay for £100 and I can't fault it, it fits like a glove and it's the same exhaust for gti 8v, 16v and vr6. Keep your eyes peeled on eBay, I know there's a Sebring a scorpion and 1 or 2 other makes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm pleasantly surprised by my magnex cat back. Nice little bit of growl but still able to have a convo without shouting. I think it's freed up the engine over standard exhaust too. Im sure milltek is probably still the favourite if budget allows though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yep, I agree with the standard air box but you don't get that vr induction roar that so many people like. I personally run a standard air box currently and will fit a pipercross panel filter when funds allow. I'd still be interested to see how the viper performed though and would definitely consider fitting one to my car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The usual crack is to feed the pick up through down to the front bumper grille. Not an easy job apparently, although I'm sure there's a build thread on here somewhere. It normally involves changing the lower bumper grille to a fog light housing and attaching the cold air feed to that. I had a viper in the past and I liked that a lot. 14. I'm thinking about a piper cross viper or bmc cda as you shouldn't get any heat soak from engine bay that way. I'm surprised that carbonio don't make a specific kit for the vr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah, I see you like your detailing. It'll be definitely worth putting some colour on, I've seen some impressive colour treatment results. Look forward to seeing the results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi James, have you tried just a normal leather feed on the seats or is the raw leather shining through the colour and that's why you need the mulberry treatment? I've used the meguiars leather feed/cleaner and it brings the seats up to a nice matt finish and makes them nice and supple. It's really easy to use too. Also I've found Baby wipes are excellent for cleaning leather and are a good low cost cleaner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. For sale are this set of alloys by team dynamics. They're 7.5x17 5x100 pcd and they are the pro race design. They are used so have marks commensurate with age but not bad whatsoever. Looking for £200 plus postage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Cheers James, I thought that might be it, only coz it looks a bit bodged on the pipework near there. Probs had an induction kit on in the past as there's jubilee clips holding pipes on, doesn't look very factory to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I wondered on the pcv, I'm not sure on location. Is it near the tb or on front right of rocker? You're right about the gasket, next time it goes in for work I'll get it replaced. Thanks daverse Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hi fellas, not sure if anyone has experienced this before. I topped up the vr this morning with just under 400ml, I may have spilt a bit during top up and I mean a bit. I drove 30miles and then had to creep around the car park and access road until I found a parking space, at this time I noticed a faint smell of oil through the blower vents. I have previously noticed this smell after an oil service, (assume fully topped up) however I don't notice the smell when the vr needs topping up. Have I got a waftie breather pipe or something more sinister? I have noticed the rocker gasket has been weepi
  21. That last post could be considered a fail, as it came up too far back to be even remotely amusing. Doh! I've got a magnex cat back on mine and it gives a nice warble around 2600rpm. Burbles a bit on Tickover too. I've never had a performance exhaust before where you can have a conversation in car without shouting. Nice bit of kit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Mmmm, far too much twitching for a car oriented club. Have you ever thought about joining the rspb? Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Nice 1 bennyk. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
