  1. I'll go on the stand of you want. I'll do my best to hide the dodgy bits on the car! [emoji106]
  2. Is that for top and bottom chains plus guides etc jay?
  3. Normally is approx £900 all in I believe. How much does the parts come to jay?
  4. What about mounting brackets cook? [emoji41]
  5. Dreadful driving, it's like one of those government warning adverts without the suggestion of a hideous crash at the end. Uncool to say the least!
  6. I'm going to help dips with that in return for some help with the nothelle.
  7. I missed something in the original post highline. A very simple and cost effective fix would be to keep lower than 5k rpm! [emoji38] Hey presto, no more exhaust fumes in cabin and more mpg! I get fumes when stationary but I thought it was due to the pcv, or an oil leak from the rocker cooking off. I'll have to tune my nose to suss wether exhaust or oil from mine!
  8. The golf looks swamped in there ben, what's with the influx of Chelsea tractors?
  9. I spotted a complete zorst on eBay with a sport car welded in. Price for the item was £125 approx.
  10. Is the smell coming through the blower vents or is it getting into the car via a dodgy bootlid seal?
  11. Essex/London area. Tony rings a bit of a bell pete
  12. There was a bloke on here who used to do chains etc. he knows the Vr very well but his name escapes me. Someone will pop up with his username or number soon I'd have thought.
  13. Yeah, not enough to buy one though! [emoji87]
  14. Huh, listen to him! The wearer of special hats with zips over the eyes and mouth. [emoji23]
  15. Welcome to the club fella, you'll find I almost never take the piss! [emoji106]
  16. It most likely is possible to relocate the carbon canister, I'm not familiar with that mod though
  17. The usual crack is to remove the carbon canister or divert the induction route.
  18. When starting from cold, the engine runs in closed loop, which is basically a default ecu setting for the purpose of cold starting. Once up to approx 80degs the car then starts running off its sensors. One of your sensors is buggered. The noise you're hearing is probably the release bearing, that's most likely only due to the poor running though, off balance etc. Water temp sensor will apparently throw a number of other codes due to the engine not fueling correctly once up to temp, this in turn will most likely throw a lambda code. Not sure if that helps at all? [emoji106]
  19. It ran a bit smoother after!? [emoji23]
  20. Djiceman has eibach front and rear arb's and he says the car is now super stiff and I think he also said his car now understeers quite a bit in the wet but good in the dry.
  21. I really like that ben! That will match in nicely with your other under bonnet bits and pieces. [emoji41]
  22. Yep, I confirm that also, I unplugged and cleaned it yesterday and then realised it was a blank. It's something to do with the U.s emissions bs which isn't required in Europe. [emoji106]
  23. You've got a real nice shopping list going on there fella. That engine spec sounds highly interesting too. What sort of power will that be? 250-260hp? Oh yeah and it is miles away from where it started life!
