i still have the old ecu transponder and stuff but it just wont fire up and now the fule pump wont work if anyone on here who knows what there doing and fancys a challenge pop down and have a tinker with it pm me for my address

hello just swaped my vr engine for a lower milage one as i blew the conrod through the old block :S the problem is my car just dont want to fire up i swaped the ecu new crank and cam shaft sensors and transponder unit for the key all for the new engine i put in. it all come out of a running motor that had an eventful smash oops i have checked all the wired fuses ect but no joy and i have found out that there is no fule going into the engine but all the fuses and relays are fine any ideas ??? pleasw help as i cant stand to see my car just sitting there doing nothing.....

hello mate i checked all the wires fule is defo getting to the engine but still no joy the stealers said that there isnt any signal from the ecu to the coil pack or something lile that so i have orderd a ecu transponder key and the fuse box back loom and main engine loom to from the same car i got the engine from i hope this will cure the no starting problems, i swear i am having some seriouse withdrawull problems i hate not driving and also im proper moody now that i missed out the pod session argh

hello all im still a newish member on here so please help me out.. right i have a golf vr6 highline 95 N reg with a 181000+ high i know so my plans were to get a lower milage lump but a few days after i ordered one my car decided to blow a conrod through the block lol.. now the thing is i put the new lump in wich reads 119000 all the bits off of my lump inlet manifold coil pack sensors and so on.. NOW for the problems it wont start no spark but checked all the sensors e.g crank sensor and the cam sensor took aa looked at the car and were baffled so they towed my motor to the stealers now i kn

hello mate just looking at your post and ihave the same problems check your crank sensor known as the g28 sensorhope this helps

Cheers mate yh I'm getting the new obd1 lump as I think the head gasket has just gone in mine to it has the tale tale signs talk about bad luck ay lol

nice one mate i just blew my head gasket but my mate just got me a new obd1 engine with a full ground up re build so can i just drop the new one in lol ?

im going to buy a new lump and sorce some quality coilovers and a charger but i will keep the old lump and do all the work to that one so when its ready i drop it in let project v commence lol

yh i checked the MAF sensor and it is a 4 pin plug

hello people im new to all this but first of all i must say i love vr's and i have always wanted one. But now i have purchased myself a mulberry purple highline 3 door n reg for a bargin £1200 lol..... now im confused i dont know whether i own the obd1 or the obd2 but the odd things is that i have... OBD1 throttle body side repeaters OBD2 diagnostic port e.g left of the astray ABS unit PLEASE NOTE.... i have looked at the FAQ section with the pics explaining what the difference between the two is but now i think you can see my problem :s please someone help me as my b

my car cruches in 1st some and sometimes in 2nd and when i select revers but not all the time any ideas????
