  1. Anyone, After various issues reasons whilst undertaking the conversion of my 2.0 Mk3.5 cab to a VR I make one final attempt to complete this project before the wifes wishes of the scrap man cometh!!! THis would be an absolute shame but need to make progress and get her running and roadworthy asap. Simply put, the car turns over but theres no spark!!! Its a 2.9 with coilpack, no reason to believe theres any issue with the engine. Could really use some help as both my brother and I have hit a wall! Anyone one with electrical knowledge (pref VW) and/ or who has undertaken a similar project plea
  2. Just amazed at what I keep learning about VR's, this has cleared up a conversion for me, great reading and good work that man
  3. People I need Help and apologies for touching on a topic which I'm sure has been discussed to the enth degree - I just want to get my car on the road at least to drive before my wallet runs completely dry. Just want to get the experts advice please and asap car is in a mates garage and work came to a halt yesterday. I have an obd1 to which in my desperation of getting it back on the rd, I slightly buggered the head and it could be fixed upon removal etc (long story). I don't want to start again with wiring for an OBD2 etc just yet as I'm led to believe the engine is better (timing chain arrang
  4. Hi all, I know there are a few options which can be taken to upgrade the brakes on a Golf VR. I have a set of what I believe to be "Big Reds" Porche part No 996.351.429. I've done much scouring of the web to try and get a better understanding as to whether or not the Porche calipers I have will suit my conversion unforunately still none the wiser. I now have it in my head that the Porche (Brembo) caliper upgrade is the one for me, at least thats what I think and keep telling myself!! History - I have a mk3.5 Colour Concept Golf Cab which was a 2.0 8v Gti, thankfully it now bestows a VR6 lump.
