    Yeah I thought that 2 its a bit of a puzzle just tryin 2 find time to sort it out . do u guys think trying a new switch will help or maybe its a fault with the VRs wiring?

    Had a play with the switch when I unplug it my oil light goes off then when I plug it back in the light starts flashing again. I'm guessing that it mite be the wrong switch I've been given?

    Yeah think I'm gonna have 2 try a new switch, only had that switch disconnected so it's the correct wire plugged in. Thanks for your help I'll let you know how I get on

    From what I can tell from my research there's the temp sensor at the top back of the casing and 2 pressure switches at the front a 1.8 bar and 1.3 Bar it's the 1.3 bar switch that has gone and I replaced it with a 1.3 bar switch from euro car parts

    Hi guys I had an oil leak through my oil pressure switch, I changed the switch and oil Leak has stopped but my oil light on my dash is now flashing like mad. Any ideas on this would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi guys I've been havin a problem in the wet when I drive through (unavoidable) puddles my spark plugs must get wet cos they just click (I'm guessing shorting with the wet) and my vr runs like a tractor untill I leave her for a while then she's fine so with that was woundering if the vr6's came with a engine under cover cos the vw garage told me it was only the mk 3 desial that had them and if so I'm guessing it would still fit my chassie. any advice or info on keepimg my spark plugs dry or engine under cover would be much appricated.     Thanks Daverse for your help with this finaly got round to having a good look and to my horror I found the machanic that had done sum work on my vr left a hammer in my engine bay sitting on the down pipe to my exhaust which was causing the problem. what a tool. but thanks for your help

    Hi Guys wouldering if anyone could help recently when I accelerate I get really bad vibrations through my legs and a really bad rattling noise coming from the back of the engine bay. had a quick look but cant see anything loose. Any help with this would be amazing Thanks guys

    Hi Guys just need some advice needed in the last week Ive hit 2 big pot holes and my engine has cut out (I hate pot holes, do try to avoid them but sometimes its pot hole or bus in Glasgow I tend to go for the pot hole lol) . Thought this might be the fuel cut off but not sure any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi guys Just wondering if anyone could help. My friend has a 2.0l 16v corrado and when idling it jumps between 700 rpm and 1200 rpm and won't settle. It also has no power when picking away in 1st gear just no power at low revs really any advice would be ace Thanks

    Hey Guys my friends corrado has a bad water leak from the rain. its leaking into the passengers foot weld there is a lot of water coming in. I think its coming in at the intake for the in car air system. Does anyone have any idea how to sort this Thanks

    Hey Guys I have had my Golf vr6 Highline for about 3 weeks now and there is 2 buttons next to the AC button and i can't work out what they do. Any help would be amazing Thanks this is a pic of the buttons: http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz44/dee130585/VR6/VR6buttons.jpg

    Thanks for the fast replys guys and the welcome. I had a play about with the yellow and red wires and the only way the cd player will turn on is when the red and yellow wires are plugged into only one wire (the yellow with the double connection). If I plug red to red and yellow to yellow no power to the cd player the same thing if I plug red to yellow and yellow to red. any ideas of the problem?

    Hi Guys Im new to these forums and new to owning my Golf VR6 (and i love it). I have fitted my Sony CD player but everytime I switch off my ignition I lose all my pre programmed radio stations and sound settings etc. Any help with this would be much appreciated Thanks
