  2. vr6 brakes

    are the vr6 brakes the same ason an 8v ?? if not can the brakes be fitted to an 8v ??
  3. VAG COM problem

    well i delibritely unpluged the cam shaft sensor to check the VAG COM was picking up the faults and still nothing came up. Also a temp sensor plug was damaged.
  4. VAG COM problem

    my cars a 1993 vr6, the ecu is obd1 but it has the 16 pin obd2 vag com plug. I believe this is because its the cross over model. Anyway i bought a obd2 vag com cable and scanned it, but know faults came up, (there is definitely faults). it works fine on my gti. any ideas, have i got wrong cable or sumit????   5. isn't starting

    recently bought a 1993 obd1 vr6. it wouldn't start due to a badly installed clifford alarm and immobiliser. I've since removed the whole alarm system and put the wiring back to standard. But the car won't start, but it>> #turns over #12v to the coil, but no spark #fuel pump dosen't fully prime, just gives a split second burst it seems to me that the ecu just isn't sending any signals out?? any ideas ??

    bit worried it could be the crank shaft sensor, the black wire is damaged, does anyone know how to test it? what readings i should have ?? cheers

    tested fuel pump relay and its ok, even if it was faulty i would still get spark wouldn't i ?? is there defo no immobiliser on 1993 ? any way of telling?? i've just bought i VAG cable off ebay so need to get that pluged in and see what it shows i suppose..
