doesnt your engine getting more powerful and free-er at high mileage means that its near wearing out?
Dont know why you say you wouldnt be insterested in schrick as the easiest most cost effective way to get a power increase with NA is schrick VGI, schrick 268 cams and remap, filter and exhaust etc compliment this but those 3 are where your easy increases are.
BMC CDA is the daddy of CAIs and they pop up all the time on ebay, i got mine for 50 quid
I have read that SS manifold is only really for sound on NA as they only come into benefit with a supercharger, however true that may be. General consensus is milltek is top, there are graphs that state jetex are best for power.
Eibach do an ARB kit for the VR6

I think hardly anyone drives with the due care and attention they should, we've just been out on about a 35 mile round trip and encountered at least 4 cars being driven by nobs. AND WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THAT BRAKING IN THE LAST 2 YARDS UP TO A JUNCTION IS ACCEPTABLE!?!?!?!?!!!???!!!?!????!??!!!

You can get a much cheaper one, about 10% of the price, but I heard bad things about cheap heater matrices so went genuine as I didn't want to do it twice. Just did the heater matrix on my A3 8P that was £180 but at least not a dash out job, just a glovebox out and a lot in job.

Victor reinz headgasket, elring for head bolts and crank seal, genuine for chains guides and tensioners. Genuine is more money but the timing system is the most critical part of the whole thing so it's worth the extra

If your going for a catch can you could just put another hose to the throttle body hose and have it sealed properly

It's supposed to be a closed system that recirculates the air from the crankcase, as the maf has already accounted for it in the Ecu fuelling calculations etc.

Lukey. got a reaction from c00k in changing lower arms on the golf mk3 vr6? easy or a pig of a job?
The easiest is unbolt the rear engine mount ten jack the sump up with a wood block under it for protection. The arms themselves are a piece of piss, the most grief you'll probably get is the bush bolts are probably welded up with corrosion.
