  1. A long socket that fits snugly in the shaft splines will suffice to make sure of good alignment
  2. That's what I did, got rid of the PCV and the whole length of vac pipe and plugged the port on the throttle body. You'll get an error in vcds if the plug is empty though, but you can plug a spare injector into the plug and the ecu will be fooled. It's a vac line so whatever you do it wants to be sealed up, at the moment you'll have a vac leak.
  3. Yea that's what I'm referring to, the tapping is it pulsing open and shut
  4. Cost me £70 for all parts and I would just want my money back on it
  5. Having different car turbo problems myself, probably less serious, but still, empathy, I'm off away tomorrow so have had to dump it in a garages car park, they'll find out in the morning lol
  6. Nope, you're lucky to get the discs inside the rim, offer them up, I thought it was pretty funny.
  7. It's the charcoal canister valve, you are supposed to plug the end of the vac pipe coming off it. If you scan your car with vcds you'll get an error code for it but it doesn't matter. If you want to get rid of the error code you can replace the solenoid with a spare injector. You will always hear it clicking though when it's connected and the ecu has opened it.
  8. 6n2 I think. If my car sells with it's momo I will have a mk3.5 cab leather 3 spoke with airbag and airbag clock spring for sale at some point.
  9. Comma d tox. Excellent stuff. Or redline, I think it's called SI fuel treatment, I used that once, I spilt a drop in my shed and it took some overspray off the table top so I don't doubt it's ability to clean varnish off components.
  10. Yea one of those plastic rollers is ideal for the job to make it adhere well and smooth it out
  11. I did mine on the drive by myself without moving the subframe or taking the diff cup out, it's doable but extremely awkward, it will come out a lot easier than it goes in, and it won't come out too easy. The second time I hired a hoist which helped a lot
  12. Yea I have in the past, worked just as good
  13. Roof flashing tape is essentially the same stuff but a lot cheaper per sq ft than dynamat
  14. What about the hard on hard off break in method? ...... Waits for a clever reply
  15. bah. fail. just renewed, £300. or win, its still lower than the first 2 quotes i did. haha
  16. So if I'm leaking oil it's cos I've got a worn ring?
  17. They are dust caps, but they have a hemisphere top, I was just trying to affirm your issue
  18. If that's the issue you can cave them in no bother, I've had no issue from running cars for years without them either, I had a sport Clio for 3 years didn't have any. But yea better if they are there, knock them flat. Or I have seen totally flush ones before.
  19. Not sure but do you have to put the mk3 bases on them?
