And it ran the highest bhp on the day of the rolling road, higher than a 911.

I'm 40 going on 12 and i've had my 4 mo about 3 years.

It is a sign of the times and for me a little disappointing. At the Janspeed rolling road day earlier in the year I had to fill spaces with 2 Peugeots and a Porsche. Even with that I would of had to pay the shortfall out of my own pocket except Janspeed gave us a good will discount on the day. If no one participates or posts new threads then there is nothing to interact with and the forum stalls. I'm sure everyone has something of interest to talk about or possible projects to fine tune and it takes very little effort to get it written down. I sometimes wonder if people realise how much work the moderators put in to get things off the ground only to have poor attendance. I feel very lucky to be in an area where there is a strong following and more importantly total support for help.
Just for interest though there are only really about a dozen or so members that I see at all events no matter how hard we try to encourage participation. And last but not least, I personally have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years membership with the club and have had some momentous times and made some truly inspirational friends.

I just had a look at this myself recently but not done it yet. I've got to fit a turbo oil return line. Make sure you do not use too much sealant and allow it to cure properly before use.
-
It would be worth getting a base setting on a 4 wheel alignment machine. Once "true" you can then see how the car behaves and adjust depending on how it reacts.

I did the oil lines for mine yesterday Bungy. I went with 1/4" bsp unrestricted feed and a 16.5mm ID return which I was able to get from a tractor in work believe it or not lol' date=' correct flange and all on it
[/quote']
16mm ID sounds big but I'm guessing you are trying to get as unrestricted drain as possible. Did you mount the drain flange high up on the sump?
-
I went for black textured and there is a possible group buy if enough interest. I'll post a separate thread to see.

I have an engine hoist that gets lots of use. Well worth having one.

handbrake again ...... lol
Again!

Oh, and when I got back my turbo has arrived. Yay!

Really good to see everyone and share a few beverages. My emergency back home turned out to be more serious than originally thought.

Sorry for the late reply but as David already said it is easier to measure. Something like this would do it.

Does anyone know how much extra it is if I take my non VW van?
You driving the van up then?
No, thought I was meeting you at 6 on Friday at Jakes. If the forecast on Thursday night is torrential rain it was just a thought for somewhere dry to sleep.
-
Such a shame.

Jakes am will be fine.

Where are you based as if it is over filled I have a pump that can remove oil through the dipstick.
-
Yea im still going got ticket and pass paul anf katie are aswell i believe.
Am I still good for a lift up and back of course?

The engine breathes through some steel wool positioned in the rocker cover where the breather pipe comes out and feeds back into the inlet to be burnt. You could have a blockage or your engine is breathing heavy (loosing compression). Has the oil been over filled ie is it on it's correct mark? Worth cleaning your breather pipe and having a proper check of oil level.

Did you go with crinkle black then in the end?
You'll have to wait and see....
-
oooo neither can I.

Looks like you are doing all the right things. Keep us posted.
