  1. Screaming my way through life at a scary pace. New car project on the horizon though.
  2. After a long break and no feature cars for a year, we thought we would kick off with something very special. This months feature car is owned by Craig , known to all on the forum as Craggsy. The car in question is a mkiv R32 Turbo with a blue Haldex controller. The combination of these 2 major components, as well as the R32 spec make for an impressive performance package all wrapped up in a VW badge. The performance from this special car can and does embarrass exotic marks costing rude amounts of money. Craig has been a member of the club for 7 1/2 years and is now the senior moderator. The m
  3. I've stolen this from elsewhere but will now use it to guide my life. A philosophy professor stands in front of his class and fills a mayonnaise jar with rocks that are about 2" in diameter. The professor asks the class if the jar is full…they agree that it is. The professor then takes a handful of pebbles and adds them to the jar, shaking it so the pebbles fill the cracks and asks if the jar is now full and again the class agrees. The professor produces a small bag of sand and proceeds to add it to the jar, shaking it so it fill the cracks and asks the class if the jar is full and for th

    Rolling crash

It is an awesome hill climb but so dangerous with the drop offs and lack of barriers.
  5. Yes it was. Proper out in the sticks
  6. There are many advantages to being a member of a car club, but one of the things that always impresses me is the help you get from other members. With a suspect clutch on my wife's Audi Paul came to my rescue and organised a ramp and gave up his Sunday to help me change a clutch and flywheel. All went well except the slave cylinder at the end which I managed to break and Paul patched up. Job done and a happy wife. The only reason it is a picture of my ugly mug is Paul had the camera. Cheers buddy.

    Mo Farah

Congratulations to the whole of Team GB. Imagine my surprise when we were talking about this tonight when my daughter casually produces a signed photo of Mo Farah. Apparently a week before the start of the Olympics he visited her class to explain what he did. So pleased for all concerned and a special mention for all the Armed Forces there at short notice.
  8. You can buy a Bluetooth obd connector and run an app on your phone to view.
  9. I already have the wastegate and it is 38mm. A bit of a compromise for it's position so I hope it will work well.
  10. 2 steps forward and one step back Wastegate flange needs rotating and the trial fit today showed just how tight for space it is. Should be able to keep all the oem heat shields though.
  11. It's been slow going but I managed some more on my turbo manifold today. The wastegate flange is positioned and tacked in place. For the transition to the turbo I had to make some custom box section and there is still loads of work to scribe it to size and then the final fit to position the turbo as it is tight for space.
  12. We all love pictures and before and after shots.
  13. It might be that the hose was cut too short when trimmed.
  14. Covering the teeth will definitely help in the short term but can the issue not be solved. Might be worth asking Samco and sending the bottom picture of yours. It is worth an e-mail. Not criticizing, just trying to help.
  15. Ooo, i nearly forgot about Apple TV Cheers Dan
  16. Macbook i-pad 3 i-phone 4s Genuine VCDS (my favorite) but I have to tolerate having a net book to run it
  17. Won't silicon against the hose accelerate the wear?
  18. That's what we want to see. A craftsman at work. Well done Sir.
