yeh, the gains from it wont be amazing though, i would just go pipercross pannel filter in your airbox personly, but it depends what your after
-
well if you get a sealed unit (like the bmc kit) your going to be getting cold air wich is better for combustion, were as with your open cone filter you likely to get heat soak from your engine, thers alot of augments and theory’s on what better, at the end of the day its up to you, the gains of a sealed unit arnt going to me noticeable in my opinion, what ever you fancy, personally i would just stick with the O.E airbox! have a look through this it may help http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?94078

yeh its not the best thing to do but i know of friends that have done it in the past, there are other viper kits available ( have a look on ebay) but your sill going to be looking at 70quid up, keep and eye on the for sale section, someone is always selling a BMC, a sealed unit will probly be less noisy then a open cone filter, as it is the sucking that makes the noise, so if its just noise your after id probly stick with some sort of cone filter
-
wel your standard air box is already a sealed unit, so if you were to remove it, cut a "O" shape whole in it, get your self some cold air feed (normaly about 10-15 quid) and run it to the whole from the front of your car you would basicly make your own sort of viper kit. over choise tho i would just get yourself a bmc cda
-
you could just put a whole in your airbox and run a cold air feed to it?

UKG Grant replied to Pearsy47's topic in Bodywork and Styling

iv liked where you have moved for side indicators to as well!
-
aahhh! im with you, by the looks of that photo they have just ran them under it, i suppose you could cut half "o" shapes in places to run the leads through? looks smart though!
-
do you mean which lead goes to which plug
-

cheers mate, forgot about the raddo forum, the list i wanted is just the things i need, as im sure i wouldn’t need everything as im sure i would be able to use existing parts from my vr6 for a few things. that’s what i was more after rather then every nut and bolt, just the less obvious things, cheers for that though il have a look on there!

yeh i would do the work myself, not worth the money to pay someone, its just cost vs performance, if im looking and spending another 1000 for the sake for 50bhp thats not something i would be happy about. although a vr with forced induction would put down more power at the right psi, a r32 with some good cams and a re-map might not be far off it price vs performance wise. im guessing its a strait swap engine mounts etc, but being a corrado the rad is ofset and at a angle, things like this im not sure about as iv never realy looked properly at a r32 engine. or actually seen one in a corrado to
-
Basically, im working out costs of various things, one of the possibilities is a R32 conversion. to work out a price im trying to work out what i would need, and what i would need to do. Im after a list i suppose of everything i would need and what i can get away with not getting and use from my radddo vr6 e.g gear box if its better ratio? rad? things like that so I can work out if it would be worth it, or if it would be of more interest to re-build a vr engine and go forced induction? any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated

Coilover Comparison's
UKG Grant replied to Chris1's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
iv had good experience with FK's, a couple of my friends have jamex, wich are abit bouncy, but fine if you keep the helper springs in. gaz are brilliant had a set on my 5gt turbo massivly ajustable camber at the top etc. in my opinion ther all pretty much the same just dpends how adjustable you want them. -
ok thats cool, i be working quite abit round then but i was planning on popin' down in the day for abit!
-
do you need pre-paid entry for billin? or is it just a matter of turning up?
