    I've just had my Girlfriends (Sally) V6 4motion in a local 'VW' dealership following a slightly more that ticking sound emanating from the bottom end - I would describe it as a light knocking. Their final diagnosis after replacing the intake manifold gasket.... The big end on No.1 cylinder's damaged and scored crankshaft.A bit of history...... Sally bought the car with 40,000 miles on the clock - it sounded sweet and went like stink - little service history though and the price reflected it so we bought it.
