  1. Yeah totally. If people have before and after pics too... like where it came from to where its at now and whats been done by them.... would look cool. People put so much work into their cars it would be nice for them to show it off in one simple post... :)
  2. anyway, back on topic, here's some pics of him at the Renegade dubs meet the other night.... :) Then thats it from me for a while until i can get a few more bits done over winter ready for the show season next year!!
  3. Not a bad idea, good that they should be locked from comments, as they can go off topic easily and also there is always one with something negative to say.... It should just be a show off area for pics and a description of the car, Golf + stylee... :)
  4. Dave i got my bits from TPS in Kent. They were really good... Have a look at my following thread for my part numbers, but these do differ even on the OBD2 models, you need to get your engine code before you call them, i got the chains, guides, tensioners, gearbox oil and coolant cost me just over 200. Not too bad really. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?298530
  5. yeah, mine has loads from the previous owner, but ive got a machine polisher now, i tried it with a light cut polish but it wasnt enough so im going to get a heavier cut and try that i think, they really aggrivate me... lol
  6. im a member of detailing world... they drum it into you! lol Na, i just do a lot of research before i use anything on my baby...
  7. hahaha, a mitt drags the dirt away from the car, whereas the sponge can just push the dirt across the car and not lift it away, causing swirl marks..... and trust me they're a fookin pain to get rid of....
  8. yeah, wash mitt, i ruined mine so im on a sponge at the mo but my car never gets dirty by the time it gets cleaned again, lol... Gonna pick up a new mitt tomorrow. :)
  9. You can only try mate, you cant go far wrong, just use 2 buckets when you're washing it... so so important!!

  11. good luck mate, i hope this car turns out to be everything you hope! cant wait to see the progress.... :)
  12. yeah it would take a whole day flat out, but i dont mind doin it for a club member, it just takes upkeep....
  13. haha, if you're serious mate then i would 100% do it for ya, id throw in the inside for that too so the whole thing is done for ya... You do have to remember though it wont happen completely first go, i can get it looking pretty bloody good im confident of that, but u will need to keep poilshing it reguarly to keep it up and get it looking even better...
  14. i dont use the cutting polish on my wheels though, and i have only been using it on my paint due to swirl marks (that are still there... grrrr) But if you havent got swirls then just use a normal polish.... Ive gotta get my machine polisher out next to get rid of mine so hopefully he will look even better... : )
  15. Lol, ok seeing as there is interest ill put my cleaning process on here, i am in no way saying this is the best way to do it or these are the best products, just to cover my ass... but i like them and they work well for me, as you can clearly see.... once a month or two i do a full clean which consists of: Wash (2 bucket method) Clay Bar - BH Autoclay Wash - still trying to find a shampoo im 100% happy with Dry - Chemical guys Mirical dry cloth Polish with Light cut polish Lime Prime Pre wax cleanser Rubbish Boys Juiced Edition Caranuba Wax (applied by hand, not applicator) Then every week
  16. I so so wish it was!! And thanks Dec, but i would want about 100 quid as it takes 8 hours on the outside alone and i use expensive products, so best u get up early on the weekend and get ur ass out cleanin!! lol

This is all down to hard work and good products, i have done no spraying and the pics that were before was when he had just been cleaned by the garage i brought it from and then driven 35 miles in the dry!! He still looked filthy. lol. :) Let me know what you think... Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After:
