    just spoke to Hi Spec, for the vr6 they only do a kit....which works out over £800 (EEEK!) going to hold out for some S2's me thinks!!!!

    Hi I want to upgrade the calipers on the vr6..... are there any that fit on the standard size discs??? Comp brakes don't make a kit and it seems that willwod don't either?!! Thanks

    hi my driver's rear window has stopped working! i can hear it make a small click when the switch is pressed but no action. any pointers as to what to do how to go about it please! thanks Joe

    Hi just up grading my brakes to grooved and drilled and want to change the pads as well.... any recommendations? use the car only at weekends and live in london so hardly banging around a race track!! want something that won't ruin my wheels and lasts a while????? Any advice welcome ta

    so 60mm should be totally cool? Does any one know about tyre width on a 16' rim?? Also stretching tyres???? how small do you go???? Sorry for the questions new to this!

    Hi I am about to fit some coilovers and springs on my 5 door... How low can i go with out any issues? also I am up grading to 16" rims and how wide should I go with the tyres? Any advice appreciated! ta

    ok so if you remove the fuse the abs stops working and so does the traction control? What happens when you plug it back in? any problems with it resetting? Is the braking effected?

    used to race in uk street racers which is a street legal series. Just wondered if the basic mods made much impact or boost/charged is the only way to get lower numbers? Used to run a 70's opel kadett with an isuzzu turbo lump with gas that went very well. just fancied the odd rwyb and the old traffic light battle!

    Hi I am just getting in to vr ownership and wondered what to expect from the vr golf on a Drag Strip? What is standard trim time? And then what can you get with what mods? Which tyres? Can the traction control be a hinderence? Who on the site is the qickest???? Thanks

    Ok getting the inlets fitted for a total of £100 which i am happy about! the other stuff is going to be with out vat and an additional 20% off.... Amazing what happens when you start talking about forums and bad publicity!!!! good talking to you today john, i'll be in touch

    They are in chiswick, called w4 autos (2 vw mechanics who have set up on there own) they did a great job on my abs fault.... cahnged 2 sensors for £125....

    yeah as far as I know. They have said that they have had to order a head gasket kit as it works out cheaper than buying the gasketts independently. They were also changing the v belt as well, and have told me the tensioner needs changing... Just starting to wonder if they are making stuff up??????

    Dropped in it for a new sump and filter/oil. Asked for a price of fitting some polished parts: upper and lower intake mani and an oil filter carrier..(they were in the boot) any way they didn't quote just stripped it down! told them to stop and I will go in tomorrow to sort out this mess. I wanted to know how much time it will take a vw mechanic to strip down and replace the manifolds.... I need to argue this out so it doesn't end up costing me a f**king fortune! Thanks

    Yeah thats what I thought! I am after something that gives a power increase but not one that drives me insane and scares small children when I drive past! Any surgestions anyone?
