  1. Hi folks this aint a vr6 but it is a vw i hope someone can shed some light on the problem so here goes its a vw caddy 1.9 sdi 03 plate and the problem is it has no responce from the throttle pedal atol ive had it on a diagnostic scanner and it said the accelerator position sensor was faulty so i got a new one and fitted it but the fault is still there so i checked the plugs on the ecu etc.. and they seemed fine someone said it may be the ecu but im not sure.. so thats about that hope someone can help me out cheers guys
  2. thanks for the info mate i got a new chain today and set the timming again and it worked a treat havent started it yet though lol but im sure itll be cool
  3. Hi folks this aint a vr6 question its actully for a polo its a 5 door 02 plate the n/s/f door wont open or unlock im asuming that the lock mech is bust. I was hoping that someone out there may have come across this and could tell me how to get the door open or get the panel off to get the door open thanks folks
  4. cool ill give that a try i may also get a new chain aswell do i have to get a full kit with all the pullys or can i just get a new chain
  5. well sort of i kinda made my own welded up a few bits a plate it seems to do the trick

Hi folks im needing some info on setting the timming up on a 2.8 vr6 1995 i have an auto data cd with some info on the chain but not alot. i may aswell start at the begining the chain guides burst on this engine for some reason resulting in three valves bending so removed the engine and split the box to access the chain and repair all the broken parts now im havin probs setting the timming i cant seem to lose the slack between the two cams i thought the pullys would move once i slackened them and the cams where locked but these pullys are on a key so dont turn any ideas folks would a new chain
  7. hi folks just a quick question are the cam pullys on a 2.8 vr6 left hand or right hand threads because im doing one just now that bent a few valves and i need to slacken the cam pullys to set the timming but the are very tight so i wasnt sure about the thread thanks
