  1. I've got the same EBC ultimax discs, and im using the original calipers, although i haven't quite got em on the car yet as im having a little trouble having the spacer for them made. Ill letr you know how much better they are when its sorted.
  2. nice one mate, i've got the 312mm discs as well, just heard some mixed reports about the pads, but it definately looks like they have sorted out the problem. with any luck should have them on the car in a few days - just need to get the spacers sorted out!
  3. Nice write up mate, looks like its going to be crucial. any chance you have the dimensions of the spacer you made?
  4. I have recently bought EBC yellowstuff pads for the front of my VR6, since getting them I have heard that they are very poor from cold, the bloke i spoke to at EBC (unsurprisingly) told me that they have a new compound which has no trouble stopping from cold. Has anyone got yellowstuff pads they bought in the last 12 months, and if they have - do they work when they are cpld?
  5. I have recently bought a 97 VR6 Highline, and amongst other changes I am looking to upgrade the brakes. From what I have read, and others help, I have decided on getting the 312mm discs from the Audi TT 225, from this two more questions have arrived. 1) Do the Audi TT 239mm solid rear brakes also fit onto the VR with relative ease. 2) Anyone got any pointers on brands, they are quite expensive straight from Audi, but I have found a reasonably set of EBCs on Ebay. Are they decent, or are there aome other brands that I should know about but don't. Last point - any advice on pads? Cheers
