  5. Mate, aux belt cost less than you think. If it were me, I'd be wandering why he's selling it off with less than a 30 pound repair.....exc heater matrix. He would have realised the alternator wasn't charging....battery/lights drained/dimmed. Radio stops working ect. Heater matrix damage would be rare in that sort of situation. Sounds to me like a very expensive problem has occured and he's trying to flog it off for profit. If you go back, check engine running, wet footwells (damaged heater Matrix...unlikely), mayonase on underside of engine oil filler cap...just the basics Or take somebody that

  13. Nope, it's my 3dr. After the news me and sarah got last week, I spent all of the weekend looking after her, so daves shell will be picked up on 1st weekend of october. Appreciate the offer tony.
  14. I know it's stupid and simple. Have you checked the Battery for security? Suspension struts? Calipers? Rear engine mount?

  16. The damage doesnt look bad from the utside. Missing grill.. smashed into pieces Smashed up N/S fog...the O/S was just dangling intact after the impact, it would seem. The 3 bolts securing the bumper from the middle to the N/S bent but have replaced. Radiator has a steady leak, cant afford a new one. Slam panel is bent but not screwed up too bad. Found 1 headlamp..... 2 of its plastic securing points were still attached to the car....the glass isnt glazed or smashed though.....very odd. Other headlamp has magicly disappeared.   17. I rekon when I have an increase in money coming in from work and I can actually aford to replace bits......then I'll end up having no problems... lol. On the + side, it would appear the idle issue was from the car being stationary while having the fogs and full beams on. The car had the bulbs still attatched and on while the casings carried on going forward.
  18. Yes chris, I do have those lights. I'm ripping the car apart tomoz morning. You had an encounter with a pheasant a few months back if I'm not mistaken. I aint feeling too great atm. See what tomorrows post mortom shows.
  19. Well, I've just had a 70mph encounter with a 3ft long by almost 2 foot high badger. The badger has won. Died instantly. Saw it run out into the road, brakes, smoke, too fast and too narrow road to swerve around.... constant bearing. About 0.5 seconds from me seeing it to impact. Both front headlamps are gone....impact tossed them into a hedge or wherever....it's too dark to find um. slam panel and bumper and reg plate are bent inward severely. Fog casings are shattered but the fog lights bulbs are still intact illuminating the inner tyres...bonus. Radiator is leaking badly.... 3rd one in 5 mo

Cams the months after.......basically, by spring fest or a pre spring fest night race like FEB, I'm going to have my car sorted. Before I attend though, I'll be removing all but the 2 front seats...yadda yadda yadda. Schrick will be when 1 becomes available at the right price OR i have the money. Cams after schrick. I guess I just wandered what upgrades in particular you would do. Types...like Tony said 263's.
  21. That audi is immense. The twitter from the turbo is the bees knees. I'd favour older rally drivers from that period against our mcrae/burns ect.
  22. All input is welcome. Be forewarned that I'm not intrested in being told to go F/I. I want a good N/A set up. I know dave had a decent set up. But with a lil project I'm doing on the side, I hope to have it slightly quicker. So, What Camshafts would you recomend? Possible Fuel P Reg upgrade? Yes, shrick is on the cards and 6branch. Anything else other than a remap?
