Did anyone else find the opening race a little.. dare i say it.. dull? I'm an avid follower of the F1 circuit but the first race left me feeling a little disheartened... On paper the new rule changes sounded pretty good. shake things up a bit, change the race tactics from previous years. But all it seemed to just be a bit of a procession.... And to add insult to injury there is speculation that as drivers have to start on the tyres used in Q3, some teams may opt to get into Q3 (top ten) and not even take part in the final 10 minutes, giving them choices on tyre compound. depends.... christ knows what damage its done.... replacing a chain and clutch etc you should expect to pay 6-700 at most decent garages...

jeepers. all i know is if i woke up and my vr was like that i'd be devastated... i know its only a fiesta but god they must be gutted........ as asked earlier have you head what caused this?

I've heard of this being done for a while. another one used to be tying a few empty beer cans to the exhaust. as u drive off it rattles and sounds horrible, u get out to look, they jump in.... same principle. just drive away and check it once your out of the carpark!

Keep the CAT as mentioned. I went with a JETEX 3 box system for mine. really reasonably priced, perfect fit (if a little wonky on the old hangers!). sounds very subtle but if your giving it some beans and get everything nice and hot (like a motorway run) it burbles really nice. you can also get a two box version which i believe is a bit louder.

also got this issue (had a nosey at the mot last week). it will need grinding back and welding up & underseal. wouldnt want to risk filling it up with resin and it rotting anymore.. i'd get it welded solid mate

I was under the impression that the wooden gearknob was highline standard. Your steering wheel is a rare item, although not to everyones taste. and no, my highline doesnt have a headlight adjuster either.. so nothings been messed about with, you've just got quads fitted by a prev owner!

definately one of jensons best races. some fantastic overtakes early in the race, great team effort in terms of efficient and well timed pitting. was just incredible to watch. and wow, what an opening lap!! best F1 race i've seen in a while.

was it a brand new Coilpack you swapped with? it does doesn't sound quite right i'll give you that..... have you noticed it running lumpy at all? put it this way, it was very obvious when mine lost spark on a cylinder due to a faulty coilpack...

Tried the search function but nothing matches my issue. I was having a bit of a play with a clio from the lights yesterday and noticed as i changed gear and planted my foot on the gas, a tiny whisp of either smoke/steam wafted past my rear window. only a tiny bit and only after i put the clutch down, changed and then banged the gas pedal back down and clutch back up (shifting gears pretty hard). Car was of course up to temp and i noticed it changing from 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. tried booting it in second at various places on the way home but it didnt do it again. Car seems to be running fine, no

I've just drilled my standard airbox and fitted a K&N panel. Also de-coned the top of the airbox. I did fill the front and wing side with holes, big holes.. and it sounds sublime. very loud. Revs a little freer now too. didnt cost a penny (apart from the panel obviously!). Well recommended
