  1. My radiator fan hasn't come on for a while. I've checked fuses in the fan control unit and under the dash. I've considered thermostat, controller module. Before I spend the cash on fan controller module. Can anyone recommend what I could try? MK3 VR6 1996 -OBD2 So much choice on the eurocarparts site too. 2. From what I have read in car magazines. Starting modern engines I understand it provides accurate amount of fuel to the engine. Old car engines dump quite a lot of fuel initially to start the engine. Where does the VR6 12v stand? Being more CO2 conscious and with the increase of queues and road traffic. Shutting off the engine for small periods of time and starting it again, am I wasting fuel?
  3. When I press the down switch for my drivers side rear electric window, I hear a short motor noise and nothing happens. Any idea what the problem could be?
  4. (Hunting frantically for long lost manual) Excellent. Thank you kindly TheGoth
  5. I've tried searching the forum and haven't come up with anything. Is there anyway to manually reset the MPG computer? It holds on to an average for a long time for me and resets after sometime. Been pressing buttons madly. Any input appreciated.
  6. Returned to the garage this evening and said it wasn't firing properly at idle and low revs. We walked outside and I was holding the wire removal tool in my hand and mentioned that I had the special tool if he needed. He glanced at the engine when it was running and he could tell which plug was causing the problem, and he then yanked the plug out of the engine by pulling the lead - (Hands on Head! -yikes) He then pushed it back in with a flat edge screwdriver. Car is running fine now. I know that the wires are actually original, 66 thousand miles. They are holding up well, even after that abus
  7. Hmm, I provided the wire removal tool with the spark plugs on the back seat. I mentioned to a guy that it was there. Tool still looks like new. I very doubt they used it. If it is the wires, I hope they help me out with the cost of replacement.
  8. I got my spark plugs changed very recently. The second day the car developed rough engine at idle (rev needle does not move), sounds like it is choking. And accelerating at low RPM causes the car to stutter. Above 3000rpm it is fine. Now, I noticed the oil was alarming low and have now topped it up. I have to wait to get some time off work to take it back to the garage that did the spark plugs. It is likely to be a spark plug problem? or is the engine damaged from low oil? Car is a 12v VR6 96, low miles.
