  1. Thanks. im going up to gti festival on sunday are you going? i can let you have a drive to see what you think . what dont you like about your standalone
  2. im running c2 42# software in my daily driver vr6t.The car runs just like vw intended ,it starts on the button and runs really smooth ,no hesitations or flat spots at all.I won the mk3class sprint at gti international this year with this software.
  3. im running c2 , and it did feel better after a long drive. Have you double checked for air leaks.
  4. yeah nolsey, i work in the vw breakers next door to them units, when i took my pump out of my car it was bigger than the walbro, are you saying there is a certain vw pump thats the same sizeas the walbro , or do you always have to use the spacer that vice talks about.
  5. yeah extreme scoobys next door to me sell the in tank ones, but their much smaller than the standard, i couldent see how i was going to fit it.
  6. Ive just turboed my vr6 , and the car is deffinatley more economical on my daily 50 mile trip to work and back.
  7. Ok ,nice to hear diffrent pionts of view, ive got the c2 sofware now its running sweet, I just need to get the pump done then i can start upping the boost.runing about 8 psi at the mo, with the standard pump, out of curiosity does any one know the limits of the standard vr6 pump , ive heard they can supply enough fuel for about 10 psi ?
  8. vince said somthing about having to use a spacer for the intank type, apparantly is narrower than standard
  9. Does any one know the specs of the bosch fuel pump that is fitted to a mk1 gti , i know they run quite hi pressure but im not sure how it would compare to say ,a walbro 255 lph or bosch 044, im thinking of using one i have spare as an in line pump on my vr6t
  10. ok cheers for the advice, ill keep this in mind i need to get somthing sorted for gti festival
  11. just wondered if any one has used a rising rate fuel pressure regulator on their vr6turbo,what boost pressure could you run ?I know its not ideal but it might get me going until i get my c2 software.
  12. Its the same principle for all engines ,this just fills up all the small imperfections on the cylinder head and block.obviously a forced induction engine is under more pressure, so this helps to stop gasket leaks.
  13. Hi, i just wanted to check ,Im using a spacer plate and gasket set on my vr turbo, do i spray this on all six side's of the gaskets or do i spray it on just the sides that meet the engine block and cyl head. Thanks!
  14. Hi, im looking at buying a very low milage vr6 aaa code engine from a sharan ,there is a hole in the front of the head for the egr valve which will have to be blocked, does anyone know if theres any other diffrences between this and a golf engine. Thanks!
