  1. Yeah got mine from GSF, I may have a spare if you are interested?
  2. They arent bothered about their cars because they have 1) Enough money to buy another souless, square, boring lump of metal that kills everything it hits and causes massive traffic jams around 9am and 3:30pm 2) It is something provided for them via their husband who 'works in the city' so they dont worry about it 3) It is an older car that they have damaged and becasue their car is newer they dont need to worry because noone that cares about their car could possibly own something SOOO old..... Have a few 'friends' over for an evening, make sure he sees you all looking over and appreciating ea
  3. Is he serious? Then again it has received the attention from us lot, even if it is the bad kind....
  4. I must admit that is a big suprise to me too, but then again you've got to look at technology advancements too since the 2.8 vr's were produced and the metals used, that mk2 is tighter than tight, how would you work on it? Plug change sir? Yes that is an engine out job...
  5. I cant understand why it is so cheap? Does it go straight in, it looks a really tight fit, as in fag paper tight... what about weight issues? I was looking into it myself until recently but decided against it for various reasons
  6. But you got to look at the other side of the coin, why are there so few R32 Mk3's around? There has to be a reason, price, difficulty, time? Not putting you off, I would love to be taken for a ride in a R32 Mk3, let alone own one but if it was me, it would be charger all the way, plus when/if you come to sell it, it will be easier with a charger compared to a new, bigger lump. You can also just take the charger off, sell that seperatly and the rest of the car as a standard car, which someone is more likely to buy and you dont loose as much money. Horses for courses to be honest, depends what y
  7. go for the charger, the R32 lump will be a pain and the charger is nice clean and easy
  8. Thanks, looking forward to it already..
  9. Can a mod place my name down please peeps, and is anyone travelling from down south, kind of slough/reading area, or going past us, fancy going up convey stylee.....
  10. Careful with the photos daley, I heard you need to have 'proper' passport photos, whatever that means, but the photo machines in lesuire centres and stuff apparently arent good enough anymore. I could be wrong.
  11. seriously craggsy? Thats where im off to, going to do the whole tourist thing and drive down to Miami on one of the days. Small world eh???
  12. Im a ring virgin too (in the clean kind lads and lasses) so it is going to be interesting for me, im a little nervous about meeting everyone for the first time, but as everyone has already mentioned, most are in the same boat and I must admit this is THE friendliest forum I have ever been on, it is like a hugh group of mates that have started their own forum just for the sake of it and with all the combined knowledge, knowhow and technical/mechanical ability amongst the whole group I have no worries about if my car brakes down or anything at all. I am really looking forward to it even though I
  13. I would say electrical for it to happen that quickly. Definately check spark and fuel but more so spark. With the cam shaft sensor it will usually start cold but not hot, the crank shaft will usually allow it to run but not reliably.
  14. Dont hate the car, love the car, the car needs and wants love, they require love, they demand it!!!!! Does it not start at all, not hot or cold?
  15. Who chose that God forsaken time to catch the ferry, thats insane!!! means leaving my house about 4am, is that even a time? I thought clocks started at 8...
  16. What time is everyone meeting up at the Lesiure Centre Car Park?
  17. You cant split into smaller groups, that is part of the fun, having 15 or 20 VR's going up in convey!!!
  18. careful with what you use on the MAF as they are super sensitive
  19. yeah they are much more expensive than the camshaft sensor but will be worth it if it sorts it.
  20. Has anybody heard of them?? Matey....... Try the whole forum/club, Vince at Stealth is excellant, knows his stuff and more, most of the people on here will happily use Stealth Racing, I have in the past and will in the future
  21. by the way, you may need to clear any error codes just to give the ECU a clean bill of health otherwise it may still think the sensor is screwed.
  22. Hi c11rgd, The Crankshaft sits right at the bottom of the engine and the sensor is also right at the bottom of the engine. I had the EXACT same problem on my VR and the camshaft (different to the CRANKshaft) sensor is what was wrong with mine. The CAMshaft sensor sits on the right hand side of the head, right at the top of the engine, held in by one allen key bolt. You may have taken the coil pack off in order to take it out although some people manage without taking it off. The error message is definately reading CRANKSHAFT sensor, ive looked on ETKA but for the life of me can not find the cr
  23. Hey BigSteve, Im selling a complete 2.9 lump with ecu, loom, exhaust manifold etc etc at the moment if you are interested?
